Rachel's Garden
                                         pressed flower art

What once was a hobby, has become a little business.  I
started gardening just a few years ago. I made the choice to
stay home with my new baby girl, Rachel.  When Rachel
was 5 weeks old,  she started  having episodes that
resembled seizures.  She baffled all who witnessed it, and
the doctors were never certain what was causing it.
During Rachel’s first year, her episodes were consistent. As
soon as little Rachel started walking, we never saw her little
“seizures” again.  I don’t know what that was all about, but I
do believe everything happens for a reason .  Only God
knows the plan for each of us.
Rachel and I would go  buy flowers, plant them, dig them up,
and replant them.  After months of gardening 101,  Rachel
and I finally got it right! Our flowers flourished and were
beautiful!  It didn’t take me long, to start pressing and drying
our beautiful flowers.
Through trial and error, I learned what flowers press
beautifully.  It didn’t take me long to create a use for my
pressed beauties.  I began making notecards, coasters,
and suncatchers.
I gave my pretties as gifts, and since then my  little hobby
blossomed into what I call today, Rachel’s Garden.
